Impression 3rd Sisiter Liu Night Show

Yangshuo, near Guilin in Guangxi Province, is a famous tourist town being the end-point for the world-famous Li River Cruise. The days are easily filled with a whole range of soft-adventure activities.

Evenings can be spent enjoying local food or shopping but for a very special evening treat yourself to a ticket at the Impression Liu San Jie (Third Sister Liu) Light Show. There are performances most evenings from 19:00 - 20:00, though in peak season there could well be two. Tickets cost a little under 200 CNY (about 25 USD).
The show, directed by Zhang Yimou, now more famous for the Opening and Closing ceremonies at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, takes three scenes from this local folk tale and brings them to life on a large scale. Not only does the cast number in the hundreds but the local karst mountains are also included, lit up by huge arc lights so as to form a most spectacular back-drop. Splash out and enjoy; it will be money well spent.
